Nation Press and TV coverage has recently highlighted some of the concerns about the future of morris dancing – based mainly upon the general lack of young dancers. As part of this ‘splurge’ The Rotherham Advertizer are running an article about Morris dancing and in particular the health or otherwise of the Wath team. Tom Sharpe, the reporter who attended the practice evening, tried his hand (and feet) at dancing and it should be interesting to read his account.
