Lord Conyers Morris Men invited Wath to join them at a combined dance out at the Bay Horse pub in Scholes village on Wednesday, 24th June. Despite a sudden drop in temperature the dancing went well and was followed by a good session of singing in the pub afterwards. Thanks to Lord Conyers for the invitation – hopefully we will be able to repeat the experience again in the future.
The latest in a successful run of musical get – togethers takes place in the Woodman Inn, Swinton on Tuesday 7th July 2009. The morris team will dance first outside and then move into the pub for the music around 9.00 pm. We look forward to meeting what has become a regular group of participants along with anyone else who would like to join us – either as a contributor or a ‘ spectator’.
Wath’s annual visit to the Railway pub on Huddersfield railway station ,where we meet up with White Rose Morris men, will be on Tuesday 24th February from 7.45pm. Since our last visit the Station has been visited by the television programme which toured Yorkshire to find the perfect pint of beer. This has made the pub something of an attraction – lets hope there is room to dance.
Another singaround session in the Woodman Inn in Swinton on Wednesday 4th March. Starting around 8.00pm - if you would like to contribute – or just listen – please come along.
